Truly gifted with music, Mr.
Vince began learning to play the piano when he was just eight years old. It’s certainly
in his heritage….His aunt recently performed in an opera in New York City at
age 82! Although Mr. Vince’s strength in music is playing by ear, he recently embraced
the challenge of learning to read notes on the staff. His strategy—committed sight
reading practice each week and study of note reading flashcards which, in his
words, “takes with him EVERYWHERE” combined with a passion to grow his love and
talents for music. Mr. Vince considers music a true blessing from God and
graciously shares his musical talents with others at weddings as well as the
Senior Citizens of Indian Land meetings. A “walking encyclopedia” of opera and
contemporary composers, Mr. Vince's favorite pieces are Clair de Lune and Moonlight
Sonata, both of which he is currently practicing to master. An inspiration to
many, Mr. Vince is a wonderful testimony of devoted practice flowing into the
utilization of using his God-given musical talents to bless others!
“Sing to Him a new song:
Play skillfully, and shout for joy.”
~Psalm 33:3
